MAMBO MATERNICA premieres at the 45th Hungarian Film Festival
MAMBO MATERNICA, the debut feature film by Borbála Nagy, premiered at the 45th Hungarian Film Festival in Budapest. The film is produced by Lupa Pictures in co-production with Voices Films, DFFB, and Sister Productions. MAMBO MATERNICA follows the stories of three women in midlife on the verge of motherhood.
PRAISE THE SAND wins Lightdox Award at Fipadoc Pro
Our new project, the debut documentary feature PRAISE THE SAND by Annina Lehmann, has won the Lightdox Award at Fipadoc Pro in Biarritz. The project will receive consultancy on festival, marketing, and distribution strategies from one of the most renowned sales and distribution agencies specialising in documentary storytelling.
BITTE LEBEN at Nordic Film Market
The debut feature BITTE LEBEN, directed by Elsa Rosengren, was presented at the Discovery Co-Production Platform within the Nordic Film Market at the 49th Göteborg Film Festival. The project is currently applying for financing in Germany and Sweden, its main production countries, and is aiming to begin principal photography in summer 2026.

FITNESS AND DESPAIR receives production support in Berlin
The first feature project FITNESS AND DESPAIR by Moritz Geiser has received Leuchtstoffe funding. This contemporary story about love and politics in today’s Berlin is a co-production between Voices Films and the DFFB, supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and RBB. Filming is scheduled to take place in Berlin in February and March 2025.

Filming of the documentary project ARCHITECTURES OF MEMORY (director: Lina Zacher, DoP: Anastasia Gavrilova) continues in North Carolina and New York, USA. The project, exploring the topic of solitary confinement in prisons, is a co-production between Voices Films and Filmuniversität Babelsberg and is part of the DIGI.TALe program, funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
