Elsa Rosengren

Elsa Rosengren was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. After working at sea in her early twenties as a boat crew, she started making films while attending Rhode Island School of Design, RI, USA. In 2014 Elsa relocated to Berlin to study at the German Film & TV Academy Berlin (DFFB). Her graduation film I WANT TO RETURN RETURN RETURN was invited into the official program of the Festival de Cannes in 2020, where it received the Third Joint Prize of Cinéfondation.

Currently Elsa is based in Gothenburg, where she is working on her first fiction feature BITTE LEBEN. In 2020 Elsa received the prestigious Wild Card grant, provided by the Swedish Film Institute, for the development of this project.
